I love the pillows, as has already been realized, but I do not like very much to enter the zip, so I finally followed the Lena Corwin recommended the draft on his book "Printing by Hand: A Modern Guide to Printing with Handmade Stamps, Stencils, and Silk Screens," which I have often spoken here and here. My creation comes from a location but a little longer, in fact, I went from print fabric;
course could not miss the most exciting part for me, that is, draw the pattern and create the crepla rubber stamp.
The fabric I chose is a linen-gray sand. to print the color green instead of a peacock. cushion upholstery: 45 x 45 cm.
Cut fabric: 50 x 130 cm.
First finish the edges of the tissue with zigzag stitch not to remove it, bend approx. 1.5 cm. the short sides of the fabric (cm ones. 50) to make a small PiƩgon, taking care to press them well and sew.
At this point we need to lay the tissue from the side vertically with the press, fold down the top of approx. 53 cm. and secure with pins. After even fold up the bottom of approx. 32 cm. (I have to first put the safety padding inside to see exactly what this side bend), secure with pins and sew the two sides open.
Remember to include the label on the left side, putting it on the contrary with the initial letter or symbol facing up and secure with a pin.
... I know that you do a drawing!
can understand better?? B0h! continue: turn the cover, insisting on good angles, then stretch the seams in particular, put the stuffing et voila, you're done ...
Ah, I forgot to play a little 'with the colors I sewed the lining around the dark green wire an edge of 2 cm. It looks like this without closing the back seam.
This story started many months ago when I gave a friend of mine (for his new house) my first semi-serious test of a container made of fabric, S. decided to put it in the bathroom filling it with packages of tissues. Some time later at a dinner, E., another friend of mine, the and I saw also said to want you on your new home.
then I printed the fabric
After repeated operations for both the fabrics, I entered the gray cylinder (with the fabric to otherwise) in the pink (right back), matching both the seams.
and have them sewn together
Tada ... here is the result
Finally today I finished the prototype for another line of fabric Necklaces Collection Spring / Summer 2009, was to be expected that about a month, then today this beautiful sunny day put me in a good mood!
This time the approach to the series is more of tactile, playful, hence the choice of the name: "softyrings," what do you think?
Each disc of cloth and stuffed with padding moooorbina and held together by my beloved satin ribbons.
